Condition Rating

To carry out the condition rating of the elements of existing buildings using the EPIQR process, four different conditions are differentiated:

A = good condition
B = light wear and tear
C = considerable wear and tear
D = at end of lifecycle

To reduce subjectivity stemming from blurred distinctions between the four levels to a minimum, evaluation guidelines and descriptions of conditions were also defined. These serve to standardize the evaluation by different persons and improve comparability.
