EPIQR process

EPIQR, which is pronounced “epicure”, is a made-up word. It stands for examining energy consumption (energy performance), the character of indoor spaces (indoor environment quality) and also the consideration of maintenance measures (refurbishment) in existing buildings. The development of the EPIQR process was funded by the European Union. It was developed in the 1990s by seven different research institutions, also including the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics.
